The co-chairpersons for the 2008 program year are Blaine Mason and Fran Markwardt This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . Please contact either of them if you have an idea you would like the Committee to pursue or if you are interested in joining the Committee. The Committee meets at the church at 7:00 p.m. on the first Monday of every month. Service Projects The Church and World Concerns Committee coordinates the congregation's volunteer service projects. Service projects are a great way for the Church to meet an additional need of an organization serving the needs of our community. Monthly Food Offerings On the first Sunday of every month, the Church & World Concerns Committee collects a non-perishable food offering from the congregation. Upon receiving a request for SPAM from The Lakeview Pantry, the Committee decided to expand the monthly food offering program in 1999 to include a special request for that food item. Mission Minutes On the second Sunday of every month, the Committee takes a special collection for a social service organization. The organization is given five minutes at 11:00 service to explain their organization to the congregation. Nearly $10,000 was collected for local, national and global organizations in 2007.
