The Broadway Choir is a 40-voice SATB Ensemble of volunteers who sing regularly during Sunday morning worship at Broadway UMC. The Broadway Choir has recorded two CDs, 2001's Sing and Be Not Silent, and 2002's The Light of All the World, a Christmas CD. The Broadway Choir recently presented two special events in spring 2004, A Festival of Spirituals and Broadway Does Broadway, as well as The 6th Annual Broadway Christmas Celebration in December. A featured choir of the 2002 Annual Conference of the Northern Illinois UMC, the Choir has also been the guest of the 2004 UMC Global Board of Pensions Annual Board Dinner, the 2003 Chicago Marathon, the 2003 Human Rights Campaign Annual Chicago Dinner with John Kerry as keynote speaker, the 2001 Lakeview Action Coalition Convention and the 2001 Methodists for Social Action Ball Award Dinner.
