By Public Transportation
By Bus from the Loop Use either the #145 or #146 express northbound from State Street (south of Lake Street) or from Michigan Ave (north of Lake Street). The bus runs express on Lake Shore Drive to Belmont. From Belmont it turns north on Sheridan Drive (the inner Drive). Get off the bus at the second stop after the Belmont stop: Roscoe. It comes very quickly after Aldine, the first stop, so be alert or alert the driver early! Walk west on Roscoe to Broadway (one long block). At Broadway, look left. The church is just across the street.
By Bus from north of the church Use either the #151 local or the #145, #146, or #135 express buses and exit at Roscoe (see above). The stop is not long after Addison.
By the #36 Bus The #36 is the Broadway Street bus. It’s a local so it makes frequent stops. Exit at Roscoe and Broadway. The church is just south of Roscoe.
By the El Use either the Red, Brown, or Purple lines and exit at Belmont. At street level, turn right and walk to Broadway (approximately three blocks). Turn left (north) and walk three blocks to the church at the corner of Broadway and Buckingham. The walk from the El stop to the church is about 15 minutes.
By Car
From Lake Shore Drive* Exit at Belmont. Heading west (away from the lake) go to the intersection with Broadway (third stoplight; Walgreens on the right). Turn right. Proceed north approximately three blocks to the church on the corner of Broadway and Buckingham. Buckingham is not a through street; it is one way heading west. Turn left on Buckingham. The church parking lot is immediately on the right. Note: Do not park in the parking lot with the entrance on Broadwa just to the north of the church. The church has no connection to that lot and it is frequently patrolled and towed.
(*If coming to Lake Shore Drive from the Eisenhower expressway, a good short cut is to use lower Wacker Drive. Just after crossing the Chicago River exit to the right and follow the lower Wacker signs. Ultimately you will reach the end of lower Wacker at the lake. Follow the directions to north Lake Shore Drive. From there, follow the instructions above.)
From the Dan Ryan (I-94) and/or the Kennedy (I-90) Exit at Addison. Proceed east to Broadway (approximately 15 minute drive). Turn right on Broadway. The church is at the corner of Broadway and Buckingham, which is just past the second stoplight. From there proceed as noted above following the sentence, “Buckingham is not a through street;…”
